Credit Analyst

Bloombar Capital, a London-based specialist lender, is seeking a Credit Analyst to support the assessment, structuring and ongoing review of asset-backed lending opportunities, evaluate borrower risk, and contribute to sound, well-collateralised credit decisions across our growing loan book.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct detailed credit analysis on prospective borrowers, including review of financial statements, cash flow forecasts, valuations and supporting documentation.
  • Assess the suitability of property, cryptocurrency, precious metals and other assets offered as security, working with valuers and custodians as needed.
  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate loan-to-value ratios, repayment capacity, stress scenarios and expected loss positions.
  • Identify, quantify and document key credit, market, operational and asset-specific risks, and recommend appropriate mitigants and covenants.
  • Prepare clear, well-reasoned credit papers and present findings to the Credit Committee and senior underwriters.
  • Monitor existing exposures, conduct periodic credit reviews and flag early warning signs across the live loan portfolio.
  • Work closely with the underwriting, legal, compliance and operations teams to ensure transactions are accurately assessed, documented and executed.
  • Contribute to the development of credit policies, scoring frameworks and risk-monitoring tools in line with regulatory expectations and industry best practice.

Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive base salary £40,000 – £58,000  depending on experience, plus discretionary performance-related bonus. This is the salary range the Company expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this range at any time.
